What is Merritt Express?

Merritt Research Services, LLC has developed an intuitive and powerful delivery mechanism ("Merritt Express") to put useful municipal bond credit-related information in the hands of the people who need it the most.  The heart of Merritt Express lies within its ability to deliver and present useful statistical and performance information on over 2,500 issuers of municipal debt via the Internet. 

How does it work?

Begin by simply indicating upon which credit sector you would like to query the database. From there you can narrow your search by entering a specific state or a partial credit name. An organized list of available Credit Detail Reports will be returned to you upon submitting your query.

The FYE column indicates the most recently available data. Upon selecting a specific credit entity, you will be prompted to either identify yourself as a Corporate Account User or to simply pay for your report with a credit card.

After either logging in or submitting your payment information, an email containing links to your Credit Detail Report and any available supporting financial statement documents will be generated and sent to you immediately.

Please use the private links provided in that email to download your Credit Detail Report along with any of the available financial statements you are interested in. For security purposes, the private links are valid for only 24 hours, so we strongly recommend accessing your purchased reports as soon as possible after placing your order.

What do I get for $50?

Your Credit Detail Report is delivered in a Microsoft Excel compatible spreadsheet  format and generally contains contact information, annual financial statement information and various statistical data. Depending upon availability, there can be up to five years of usable information included in each Credit Detail Report.

In addition to the Credit Detail Report and at no additional charge, you will also receive access links to any financial statement reports associated with the credit entity (obligor) you have selected. These financial statements are offered on an "as-available" basis.

The email you receive containing secure access links will indicate for which fiscal periods there are financial statement reports available.  The dates (mm/dd/yy) are suffixed accordingly with one of the following fiscal period indicators:  a=Annual, q=Quarterly, s=Supplemental, m=Monthly, i=Irregular.

We scan these reports as we receive them and make them available to you in the universally-acceptable Adobe PDF format.  If you do not already have Adobe Acrobat Reader, please click here to download your free copy.
